Jack Griffin

Graduated from Enfield High School in 2004, earning varsity letters in football (4) and basketball (3). A team captain on both teams as a senior. In football, he earned all-league honors as a junior and senior and honorable mention All-Hartford Courant DT as a junior. Named first team all-state as an offensive guard by the New Haven Register and as a defensive tackle by the Hartford Courant. An All-New England selection by SuperPrep, rated as the 12th-best player in the region. His senior year the football team went 10-2 making it to the state semi-finals. As a senior he also helped lead the basketball team to a Division IV State Championship, earning MVP honors. Went on to play football at the University of Maryland. A four-year letter winner for the Terrapins, starting games on both offense and defensive lines. Saw action in 42 career games including the last 26 games of his career. The team made it to three bowl games during his career – the 2006 Champs Sports Bowl, 2007 Emerald Bowl, and 2008 Humanitarian Bowl where he started at left guard and helped the Terps gain 238 rushing yards in a win against Nevada. As a senior, Jack earned the team’s Dr. John E. Faber ‘Iron Man’ Award

Steve Jones

Graduated from Enfield High School in 1976, and Penn State University in 1980. Longtime radio play-by play voice of Penn State football and basketball. Joined the Penn State football radio network in 1983 and has been a part of more than 400 football broadcasts in his career including the 1986 National Championship season, Big Ten Championship seasons in 2005, 2008 and 2016 and 16 bowl games including 3 Rose Bowls along with the Orange, Cotton, and Fiesta Bowls. Joined the Penn State basketball radio network in 1981 and has broadcast more than 1,200 games in his career including 5 NCAA tournaments, 9 NIT seasons including championships in 2009 and 2018, two Atlantic Ten Tournament Championship games and two Big Ten Tournament Championship games. Has also worked more than 10 years of television play-by-play announcing for the Big Ten Network. Was the Honorary Chairperson of the State of Pennsylvania Summer Special Olympics in 2001. The Steve Jones Student Sports Broadcasting Complex at Penn State was named in his honor in 2012. Won the 2017 Warner Fusselle Award as a top minor league baseball play-by-play announcer for his work with the State College Spikes single-A affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals. Named an honorary Penn State football letterman in 2019.

Mike Little

Graduated Enrico Fermi High School Class of 2005. A two-sport varsity athlete in ice hockey and baseball. Member of 2003 CCC Championship team. Senior year co-captain, CCC East All-Conference, and First Team All-State defenseman. Helped lead the Falcons to a school best 19-1 overall record. Played junior hockey with the Springfield Jr Pics, and won back-to-back championships. Attended American International College (AIC) for four years. Four years of Division 1 ice hockey (Atlantic Hockey Association) and two years of tennis (Division II). 2010-11 AIC Student-Athlete of the Year. Started professional hockey career in the spring of 2011 with the Reading Royals of the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL). Played the next two years with the Stockton Thunder (ECHL). First-team All-Rookie Team performer in 2011-12. 2012-13 Western Conference Champion. Played the next two years with the Florida Everblades (ECHL) splitting time between the American Hockey League (AHL) with the Norfolk Admirals, Charlotte Checkers, and Springfield Falcons. 2014-15 ECHL Defenseman of the Year, First All-Star Team and Plus Performer of the Year (+46). Played the next eight years professionally in Europe in Germany, Austria, and Denmark. Began international career in Germany with Iserlohn Rooster (DEL) followed by a short stint in Austria with the Graz 99ers (EBEL). Played three seasons with the Kassel Huskies, and won 2015-16 DEL2 Championship. Played one season with Krefeld Pinguine (DEL). Played final four seasons with Sonderjyske Elitesport in Denmark. Captain for three seasons, 2019-20 Continental Cup Champion and Tournament Best Defenseman, 2020-21 Denmark Pokal Champion and Tournament MVP. Played two seasons of Champions League Hockey (2016-17—Krefeld and 2021-22—Sonderjyske). Finished 12-year professional career with 701 GP, 98 Goals, 334 Assists, 432 Points, and +104 (plus/minus total).

Justine Lombardi

Graduated from Enrico Fermi High school in 2006, after excelling as a 2-sport athlete. Four-year starter on the varsity girls’ soccer team, while also participating in girls track and field for 4 years. During her high school career, she captained the girls’ soccer team in her junior and senior years, leading the team to the CT state semi-finals against Farmington High School in her senior year. Earned All-Conference honors (freshman & sophomore), and All-State honors (junior & senior). Competing in the 400, 800, and mile events, she continues to hold the 4x400m record.   Moved on to Quinnipiac University as a Division 1 scholarship athlete in soccer. In 2006, she earned Rookie of the Year honors in her freshmen year at Quinnipiac. She went on to captain the team her sophomore, junior and senior years, appearing in 64 games, including 58 starts, for the Bobcats during her career. Her outstanding playing career seamlessly transitioned into her professional career, beginning with Assistant Coach roles at the University of Bridgeport, and then back at her alma-mater, Quinnipiac. She then took on a program of her own. In 2019, she continued to progress in her coaching career by accepting the opportunity to start a new women’s soccer Division 1 program at St. Francis College in the NEC conference.

Stacy (Wilhelm) Lyver

Graduated from Enfield High School in 1997. A four-year starter on the varsity soccer team and two-time captain. Three-time All-CCC East player and in 1996 was selected to the Class M All-State and All-New England teams. Participated in the CGSCA Senior Bowl game. Six-year player in Connecticut’s Olympic Development Program. Played for World Class Soccer Premier Club from 1992-2000, during this time her team won seven Connecticut State Cup championships and 2 Region I championships. Four-year starter at Duquesne University (1997-2000) and team captain junior and senior year. Coached girls’ soccer at Somers High School from 2002-2008. She led the team in 2007 to the Class S Finals, and to the Class S Semi-Finals in 2008. A three-year starter on the EHS basketball team, captain senior year and Enfield Rotary Classic Tournament MVP in 1996.

 Neil Beaulieu

Graduated from Enfield High School in 1983. 3-year member of Varsity Swim team (Captain 1982-1983), and named Most Valuable Swimmer in 1983. Graduated Central Connecticut State University in 1987, and was a 4-year member of varsity swim team (Captain 1986-1987).  CT Male Physical Education Student of the year, Male Senior Scholar Athlete, President’s Citation of Academic Leadership, Scholar Athlete Award for in Swimming, and President’s Award in Physical Education. From 1987-1998, was Head Coach of the Enfield Dolphins swim team, and named 1987 CT Senior Coach of the Year. His team doubled in size over 10 years from 50 swimmers to 100+ swimmers. From 1994-1998, he led four straight years of undefeated swimming (Summer 16-0, Winter 20-0), and four straight years of top 10 finishes at CT State Championships. Named Head USA Coach of the Windsor Water Rats swim team (1998-present).  He has dedicated over 35+ years of coaching youth swimming, during which his teams have posted numerous undefeated seasons, recreation dual league titles, recreational championship titles, and top 10 finishes at state championships.  Many of his swimmers went on to great success in leading their respective high schools in breaking records, winning their league/state titles, and participating in Nationals and Olympic qualifiers. He has inspired many swimmers to perform at the collegiate level nationwide, and later get into coaching themselves.
