Mark Dube

Enfield High School Class of 1993.  A three-year starter for EHS baseball.  Captain & MVP in 1992 & 1993, while hitting .357 (1992) and .400 (1993). Named All-CCC East in 1993. A three-year American Legion starter, and hit .482 in his final season to lead his team to a Zone 8 tournament title. Named a two-time Zone 8 All-Star. Received scholarship at Independence Community College in Kansas (NJCAA Division 1), and transferred to Central Connecticut State University.   Hit .371 at CCSU as a junior, and was named team captain for his senior year.  Selected to the Mid-Continent Conference All-Academic team. A two-time Greater Hartford Twilight League All-Star with the Enfield Mets.  As a head coach, led Fermi High School in 2003 to their first state tournament appearance in 22 years.  Also, led his teams to four state tournament appearances.  Served as Varsity Assistant Baseball Coach at Enfield High School.

Karen Golden

Enfield High School Class of 1985.  Three-sport varsity star in field hockey, basketball, and softball.  Member of Class M state runner-up field hockey team in 1982. Two-year captain of Enfield High School field hockey back-to-back Class M state champions (1983 & 1984).  Two-year basketball captain, and held a single-game scoring record total of 36 points at Enfield High.  Named All-Conference for 3 years in field hockey and basketball. Two-year captain and named All-State player in field hockey. All-conference player for three years in field hockey and basketball.

Jim Hayden

Enfield High School Class of 1975.  Two-year varsity starter in football, with eight career interceptions, and a state-record 105-yard return.  Three years varsity basketball at EHS.  Named Captain in his senior year, and team Most Valuable Player. Named All-Area second team in 1973-74.  Two-time Journal Inquirer Player of the week.  In 1974-75, was CCIL scoring leader, Journal Inquirer scoring leader & All-Area First Team. Honorable mention All-State recognition. Set All-time school record of 42 points against crosstown rival, Fermi High, in junior year. Scored 840 career points at EHS, and All-time leading scorer in the Enfield/Fermi cross-town rival matches with 108 points in 6 games.  Played three-year college varsity basketball at Central Connecticut State University. Enfield Parks and Recreation two-time summer league scoring champion.  Enfield Stoneage league two-time scoring champion, and led his 1984 team as league champions & named playoff Most Valuable Player.

Joe Olko

A lifelong resident of Enfield who excelled in the sport of golf long before the modern era. Recognized as a top New England golfer, winning countless tournaments that spanned over the course of many years.  Accolades include being a four-time, Gold Star champion (1947, 1948, 1949, 1951), two-time Springfield City champion (1948 & 1949), Nathan Bill champion (1949), New England Public Links runner-up (1948), Pat Izyk four-ball championship (1948), and the Greenfield Country Club four ball champion (1962).  In 1955, he also competed in the Massachusetts State Amateur championship for the state’s top amateur golfers.  A member of the Ludlow Country Club, where he won many local tournaments. He was appropriately known to many as “Mr. Golf”.

Beth Pion

Enfield High School Class of 2005.  Three-year starter and 1,000-point scorer in basketball. Led her team to a .663 winning percentage in four years, averaging 17.5 ppg, 14.4 rebounds, and 8 blocks a game.  In 2004 nominated for McDonald’s All-American Girls Basketball Team Roster.  Member of 2004 & 2005 Class M All-State team.  Three-time All-NCCC player, and a two-time All-State player.  Named team MVP, and Becker College Outstanding player.  Named All New England Collegiate Conference (2008-2009). Led her team to a first-ever NAC league championship, and a 2008 NCAA Women’s basketball tournament bid.  Played four years at Becker College, scored 1,625 points.  Named to the Becker College Hall of Fame in 2015.

Bob Cressotti – The George Daly Jr., Special Recognition Award

Served as Enfield High School Assistant baseball coach for 18 years.  EHS Assistant coach for men’s soccer coach and basketball.  Faculty Manager/ Athletic Director for JFK Middle School.  Founded the EHS women’s varsity soccer program in 1982, and continued for the next 12 years as Head Coach.  Founded the CT Girls Junior Soccer Association in Enfield. In 1997, named head coach for the Fermi baseball team for the next 7 years. Won their first championship banner (CCC East) in 2011, in returning to Fermi as the head coach.  He started the Enfield Mets (1997) in the Hartford Twilight League, and the Cressotti Baseball School (1992). Heavily involved with the Enfield Allied Stars, Challenger baseball, and the area Special Olympic teams. Founded the CRAL CT River Athletic League for middle school athletes (2009).
